Created in a course I took called ‘state of matter’, Hide has evolved through a process of concept development. Presented with an image of a Pangolin, a process of examination and experimentation began using various materials, including raw-hide, hide, and brass. Inspired by the Pangolin’s sharp scales which shield it from it’s enemies, the focus of the project was protection achieved by material, both natural and man-made.
